VICTORIA MYRONYUK
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT, FOR INSTANCE
(Kolomyia, Ukraine)
This performance practice is aimed at helping you to better decode the images in your subconscious and the mysteries of your ‘virtual neighbor’. This participatory work based on the French hypnosis school, interlaced with Tarot card reading knowledge as well as Roland Barthes’s theory of photography (in particular his terms ‘punctum’ and ‘studium’), will help participants open up their own inner treasure chests as well as those of others. The group of strangers taking part in this exercise-cum-game will, simply by interpreting random images, not only be able to find out more about what decisions lie beyond the line of rational thoughts, but also possibly be able to answer the question: ‘what happens next, for instance?’
