TASHKENT AND SEATTLE: A STORY OF SISTER CITIES
(Tashkent, Uzbekistan)
Tashkent and Seattle: A Story of Sister Cities is a meditation on forgotten historical events, a friendship of two cities, represented by an installation in a house window. The artist created a collage of photographs and historical documents related to the forgotten friendship of the two cities, thereby inviting us to examine the gems hidden in half a century of history, and to consider the possibility of rekindling Tashkent and Seattle’s friendship.
